HESC-T-028 is an industrial converter with photoelectric isolation. It complies with RS-232C, RS-485 and RS-422 standards and converts single-ended RS-232 signal to balanced differential RS-485 or RS-422 signals. The built-in photoelectric isolator can provide as high as 2,500 Vrms isolated voltage. The fast transient voltage suppression is designed to protect RS-485/RS-422 interface. This device adopts advanced TVS (TRANSIENT VOLTAGE SUPPRESSOR).

The converter has zero-delay automatic transceiver conversion. The unique I/O circuit automatically controls the data flow direction without any handshake signals (such as RTS, DTR, etc.). There is no need of jumper wire setting for implementing full-duplex (RS-422) and half-duplex (RS-485) mode. All these functions ensure HESC-T-028 to be suitable for all existing communication software and interface hardware, without the need for any software modifications to the previous RS-232-based working method.

HESC-T-028 serial converter can provide reliable connections for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint communications. At point-to-multipoint mode, the converter supports the connection with 128 RS-485 or RS-422 interface devices, with a data communication rate of 300 to 115,200 bps.
