This series product is a universal USB to RS-485/RS-422 converter. It does not require an external power supply and is compatible with USB, RS-485, and RS-422 standards. It can convert single-ended USB signals into balanced differential RS-485 or RS-422 signals.

The extremely small inter-electrode capacitance ensures high-speed transmission of the RS-485/422 interface. The RS-485 and RS-422 ends are connected through RJ-45 and DB9 male connectors. The converter has a unique I/O circuit with zero-delay automatic transceiver conversion to automatically control the direction of data flow without the need of any handshake signals (such as RTS, DTR, etc.). This device can achieve full-duplex (RS-422) and half-duplex (RS-485) mode conversion without jumper line settings, plug-and-play.

This converter is designed with surge protection power for each wire, as well as surge voltages generated on the wire due to various reasons.
